I have some problems in displaying the Japanese Strings on the Web in
(Bthe new version of Namazu.
Can you please help me in this regards.? (B
First Problem: (B
1. Downloaded new version of Namazu : nmz205.zip
2. Indexed the directory using mknmz command. (B
3. Try to do the searching using namazu command. (B
Eg., namazu "$B%"%k%`%,%s(B" c:\namazu\index (B
I got the appropriate result when I executed the (Bnamazu command in the command prompt. (B
When I tried to display the output in Netscape communicator, (Bthen I could not view the Japanese Text properly. (B
I do did the process of conversion for the unicode.
Then also failure. (B
Let me explain you, how I did. (B
Let tmpStr be the string which holds the namazu (Bcommand output. (B
String tmpStr = new String( tmpStr.getBytes("8859_1"),
Displayed the result in the command prompt... I (Bcould not view the Japanese String. (B
(But in the older version, this works fine). (B
Then started doing one more conversion and tried
(Bto display in the Netscape Communicator.
tmpStr = new String(tmpStr.getBytes("SJIS"), "8859_1"); (B
Could not view the Japanese string in the browser.
But in the older version it was OK. (B
When I did the process of indexing, it takes more (Btime for indexing to get completed. (B
I have set the allow, deny and memory_max options (Bin the mknmzrc file. (B
$ALLOW_FILE = ".*.html|.*.htm|.*.txt|.*.pdf|.*.doc|.*.xls"; (B
$DENY_FILE = ".*.ppt|.*.ps|.*.(gif|png|jpg|jpeg)|.*.tar\\.gz|core|.*.bak|.*~|\\..*|\x23.*$B!!(B"; (B
$ON_MEMORY_MAX = 10000000; (B
Executed the command : mknmz -h -a c:\namazu\index\testingdir (B
Do I have to do anything else to make the indexing (Bfaster.? (B
Please help me in solving this problem. (B
Waiting for your reply in this regards. (B
Thanks and Regards (B
